Supplying a Traditional Print By US Mail:
Your photo should be clear and reasonably
sharp. A color photo must
be supplied if your painting is going to be in color. Either color
or black and white prints can be used if your painting is going
to be black and white.
For house portraits, photos taken from a slight angle generally
work best as they add interest and depth to the composition. It
is also best to take the photo on a sunny day. You may include more
than one photo to show detail but be sure to indicate which photo
you want the painting rendered from. Note that you can take a photo during the fall/winter season, and have it rendered as if it were taken during the spring/summer, as shown below.
